This girl has officially graduated college! I would have posted this much sooner, but the last few weeks have been full of graduation/senior events, moving to Las Vegas, and looking for a job. To celebrate this momentous occasion in my life, my family and friends got together for a barbecue. It may not sound like a huge event, but it did take a little bit of planning, and we had lots of fun.
The invites for the party were just picture inserts to my announcements, using some of my graduation photos.
Decor was all based on my school colors, red and blue. We even found University of Arizona plates and napkins for all of the food. There was also streamers and balloons, and my favorite, a photo booth (post on those later).
The food was pretty simple, yet still delicious. My dad and friend Neil manned the grill to make some green chili and cheese stuffed tri-tip, burgers and dogs, and grilled corn, pasta salad, fruit salad, and chips with salsa and guacamole, and lots of different beers. I added the guac to the tri-tip, though, and it was incredible.
Then there was the cake- delicious red velvet, and it was huge! I was eating leftovers for days, but no complaints! I still do not know why they let me cut the cake, though, since I made a complete mess out of it.
This low key get-together of friends and family was a great way to celebrate the end of this chapter of my life, and it was a lot of fun! Not every event has to be huge, and hopefully this gives some chill inspiration.
