In honor of St. Patrick’s day, this post is a green-filled Irish-inspired wedding. While I fell in love with photos of castles on the Emerald Isle, it is not always feasible for a couple to do a destination wedding, so here are some ways to add some Irish flare to a wedding that’s more local.
Invitations with lots of green area must: there are tons of options with solid green and white accents, green celtic knots, stripes, or green and gold (for a little hint of pots of gold?). They are all amazing.
For deocr, keep it simple and elegant, but incorporate the green color scheme in where it looks best. And if you are not a fan of the deeper emerald hues, go for a minty green instead! Gold accents add some visual interest as well. Flowers can be a great way to add some color, or simple white spring blossoms like daisies, tulips, roses, and lillies are great options. The same goes for the cakes.
Bridesmaids dresses have some great options for a St. Patty’s Day themed wedding. Green dresses are the classic choice, but chic black dresses, or neutral dresses with warm cardigans and rain boots for colder/wetter climates are fun ways to play on the theme.
St. Patrick’s Day themed weddings are a great way to incorporate Irish traditions into the bride and groom’s special day, celebrate the beginning of spring, and just have a lot of fun. May you have the luck of the Irish for the wedding!
